Starting the Control
To start the control click on the “Assets” button in the upper left corner of the PI Vision display. In the upper part select “weruDataEntryMulti” by clicking on it. Afterwards the desired attributes and PI Tags from the asset tree could be added to the display via drag and drop. The control appears on the display and can be used.
Functionality of the Control
This control is used to enter values for PI tags or attributes manually. For this purpose, the entered value can be sent to the PI system without further selection of the date by clicking on "Update". In this case, the value is written to the SnapShot with the current timestamp. In addition, a timestamp can optionally be selected via the calendar icon. In this case the entered value is written directly into the archive at the selected time.
In the columns n to n-m the last historically recorded values are displayed. The number can be changed via the configuration and is five by default. To see the timestamp of the historical value, it is sufficient to move the mouse over the value.
To edit a historical value, double-click on the corresponding cell with the mouse. Then a new value can be entered and confirmed with "Enter". After the value has been changed, the changes must be sent to the PI system using the "Update" button. To delete values, the cell content can be cleared and then "Update" can be clicked.
Security
The symbol sticks to all security policies that are already in place. Users can only write data if they have the right to do that. Furthermore, the data type needs to match, it is not possible to write a string into a PI-Tag with numerical values.
Supported Data Types
The symbol has support for strings, numerical values, date(times), booleans, single- and multi-level enumeration sets.
Configuration
With a right click on the control in the upper area it is possible to press "Configure". Thereby the configuration tile appears, in which the number of historical values to be displayed can be configured.
The value in Row Height can be used to adjust the row height.
If the Label Configuration option is activated, user-defined labels can be stored for the individual tags.
