Functionality of the Tool

This tool is used to visualize whether the current display is considered as GxP or Non-GxP. It checks in the background whether specified criterias are fulfilled and changes the icon accordingly.

Configuration

The configuration can only be changed by an admin and is located in /PIVision/Scripts/app/editor/symbols/ext/libraries/weruPIVisionSuiteConfig.js:

Criteria

PathNames: Marks a display as GxP, if their display name or some folder in the path contains a string that is given in the config. The check is performed case sensitive.

DisplayNames: Marks a display as GxP, if their display name is contains a string that is given in the config. The check is performed case sensitive.

DisplayIDS: Marks displays as GxP, if their ID is in the list.

Indicators

Icon: If set to true, it will change the icon from the standard Non-GxP Icon to the red GxP icon if user looks at a GxP display.

Text: If set to true, it will change the “AVEVA PI Vision” text in the upper left corner to “AVEVA PI Vision GxP” if user looks at a GxP display.

Exchange the default icons

The default icons

weruWatermarkGxP.png and weruWatermarkNonGxP.png

are located in /PIVision/Scripts/app/editor/tools/ext/Icons and can be exchanged by an admin. Please make sure that the same name is used for the new icons and the old ones are removed!
