Progress Bar

The ProgressBar symbol is intended for use when a visual representation of task completion or progress is needed. It provides a clear and concise way to display the advancement of ongoing processes, enhancing user understanding and engagement. This is particularly useful in scenarios such as loading sequences, file uploads, or task tracking, where visual feedback on progress is crucial for user experience.

Starting the Control

To start the control click on the “Assets” button in the upper left corner of the PI Vision display.

In the upper part select “weruProgressBar” by clicking on it.

Afterwards the desired attribute from the asset tree or a PI tag could be added to the display via drag and drop. The Progress Bar appears and shows the progress of the value at the end timestamp of the PI Vision time range.

Configuration

• Maximum: Sets the maximum value of the symbol. The maximum corresponds to 100%. If the value is more than the maximum, the symbol will show a progress above 100%.

• Show label: Sets whether the label (attribute / pi tag name) should be displayed above the symbol.

• Progress bar color: Sets the color of the progress bar

• Text Color: Sets the color of the text

Tooltip

If the user hovers the mouse over the ProgressBar, a tooltip displays the current value along with the unit of measure. This feature provides immediate, detailed feedback, enhancing user interaction and understanding of the progress being tracked.

Change the Size of the Control

To change the size of the symbol, the first step is to change into edit mode (Icon in the upper right corner) and in a second step to click on the control. The eight appearing dots around the control can be used to adjust the size that everything is visible.

Removing the Control

Before removing the control it is necessary to switch into edit mode (Icon in the upper right corner). Thereafter it is possible to click on the control and press the delete key to remove the control.
