Table
The Table symbol is designed for displaying the content of Asset Framework (AF) tables. This symbol facilitates the visualization of structured data stored in AF tables, providing a structured and organized representation of the table's information. It supports filtering, custom header names and many customization options. The symbol is often used to display Batch information, Lab information and open/closed tasks.
Starting the Control
To start the control click on the “Assets” button in the upper left corner of the PI Vision display.
In the upper part select “weruTable” by clicking on it.
Afterwards an arbitrary attribute from the asset tree could be added to the display via drag and drop. The Table control appears on the display and can be used.
Directly after the control has been dragged onto the display, even before the configuration is adjusted, the display should be saved via the Save button!
Using the Control
As soon as changes have been made to the control, e.g:
Change of column widths
Change of the filter settings
Changes to the row filter
Changes to the configuration
the display must be saved via the Save button. The configuration of the control should be open (right click → Configure).
If the Save button is grayed out and cannot be used, the selected time range can be changed and then reset to the original time range. Then it is possible to save the display as expected.
Filter Function
Using the filter function, the rows of the table can be filtered by values.
Configuration
With a right click on the control it is possible to press "Configure". Thereby the configuration tile appears.
General Settings
In the upper area of the configuration the general settings can be found. There server, database and name of the AF table must be specified.
All column names that should appear in the table can be specified semicolon separated under "Column names". Column names that are not stored there will not appear in the table.
Column names must not contain spaces!
If other names than the column names are to be displayed in the header, these can be entered semicolon separated under "Display names". If this field is not empty, the number of entries should match the number of entries under "Column names"!
The checkbox "Automatic updates" defines whether the data in the table will be updated cyclically.
If the checkbox "Invert order" is activated, the entries in the table will be displayed in reverse order.
Filter by Asset
After the asset filter has been activated via the checkbox, a column name must be specified. This corresponds to the name of a column in the database (not the display name). After clicking on “Save!”, the table will be filtered according to the selected asset (on the right side next to the display name) on the specified column name.
To reset the filter, you need to uncheck “Activate Asset filter” and press the "Save!" button.
Row Filter
After the row filter has been activated via the checkbox, a primary key must be specified. This corresponds to the name of a column in the database (not the display name). After clicking on "Save!", a "Hide" button appears next to each row, which filters out all rows that have the same value in the primary key column. To reset the filter, you can press the "Reset! button.
Accentuation
The "Accentuating" option can be used to activate the highlighting of rows. For this purpose, the column that is to be used for the search for words must be defined under Column. Under Words, semicolon-separated all words can be entered that are to be searched for. If a word is found, bold font is used for the entire line. In addition, a color can be entered under Background-Color, which will be used as background color for the corresponding lines.
Style
In the "Style" area, the appearance of the table can be customized.
Row height determines the height of each row (must be greater than 30!)
Text color determines the color of the text inside the table
Text color header determines the color of the text in the header row
Background color defines the color of the background of the table
Background color header determines the color of the background of the header row
Removing the Control
Before removing the control it is necessary to switch into edit mode (Icon in the upper right corner). Thereafter it is possible to click on the control and press the delete key to remove the control.
