ClickTrend

Open

The ClickTrend symbol enables users to instantly access and visualize time series information in a trend. This functionality is triggered by clicking on an arbitrary symbol within the PI Vision display. Once clicked, the ClickTrend feature provides immediate visibility into the time series data associated with the selected symbol.

Starting the Controls

To start the control click on the “Assets” button in the upper left corner of the PI Vision display.

In the upper part select “weruClickTrend” by clicking on it.

Afterwards the desired attribute from the asset tree could be added to the display via drag and drop. The ClickTrend control appears on the display and can be used.

Functionality of the Control

When on display, the control monitors the user's clicked icons and immediately trends the underlying data sources in ClickTrend.

Clear

Removes all signals from the Trend.

Time Reset

Resets the selected time range to the default value (-8h to current time).

Remove Trace

Removes the signal specified in the selection box (Valid values 1-n).

Time Selection

Changes the time range of the PI Vision display and thus also of the ClickTrend. A number can be specified via the selection box at the front, and the time range can be changed via the buttons next to it. The end time is always the current time, so that only the start value of the time range is changed. If the selection box is set to "3" and the user clicks on "Weeks", the PI Vision display shows the values of the last 3 weeks.

Mode

The mode can be configured to "Single" or "Multiple". In Single mode, only the data sources of the last clicked symbol are displayed. When clicking on a new signal, the entries in the ClickTrend are completely overwritten. In Multiple mode, the data sources of the clicked symbol are added to the data sources of the ClickTrend. To reset the ClickTrend, the buttons "Clear" or "Remove Trace" can be used.

Scaling

With "Scale Range Auto" and "Scale Range DB" the scaling of the y-axis of the ClickTrend can be configured. Scale Range Auto sets the limits of the axis automatically, based on the currently displayed values. Scale Range DB uses the limits set in the database.

Labels

The "Labels inside" and "Labels outside" buttons can be used to display the labels inside or outside the ClickTrend.

Removing the Control

Before removing the control it is necessary to switch into edit mode (Icon in the upper right corner). Thereafter it is possible to click on the control and press the delete key to remove the control.

In addition, the associated trend icon with the title ClickTrend must also be deleted manually.
