The Tooltip Symbol displays a table of Attributes/PI tags with their (current) value in a tooltip. This symbol gives the user control to see specific details of an object on the screen, only when the user hovers over the symbol. Whenever a PIVision screen needs more details around objects/assets, this symbol can support in the structuring this information. It allows the user to quickly access all necessary data without being overwhelmed with all the data at first sight

Starting the Control

Click the weruTooltip icon of the symbol in the symbols menu. Just drag the necessary attributes/pipoints on the screen to add the symbol.

The Symbol is hidden by default and only shows the tooltip when hovering over the area. To be able to see where the tooltip symbols are placed in the PI Vision display click on “Modify display” in the upper right corner of PI Vision.

Please consider the 'Ordering' of the symbol on the PI Vision canvas. The tooltip can be positioned in front and behind a symbol. The hovering functionality keeps on working regardless of the ordering. However one has to take in account if the symbol is position behind an other symbol, the popup table should than be orientated (by configuring the symbol, see below) in an area outside of the symbol which is in front.
